Working with the Formlabs Form1!

Hi all. I haven't been posting in a while, but I've been busy with many small digital fab projects and meeting with a lot of folks, so blogging has taken a bit of a "side lines". 

One notable in the realm of 3-D Printing. I've recently been doing quite a lot of printing on the Form1; a resin based 3-D printer made by Formlabs. Check out their slick machine.

Wyolum e-ink Plastic Badge Holder, 3-D Printed test

A while ago, I got a in person demo of Wyolum's e-ink "e-badge" they created from Jimmie, which is scheduled to be deployed at this year's Open Source Hardware Summit (i.e. "OSHS") at MIT in Cambridge.

The DigBox Castle is under siege!

A few weeks ago, I had a chance to visit my street deployed DigBox Castle in Harvard Square for the 1st time in person.

I was fully expecting it to either be stolen, or suffering from engineering door failure. However, what I found was that it had been only partially vandalized and beaten by some extreme Summer weather ... it was, however, still standing. Remarkably it also seemed to be faired pretty well.
