Last week, I was in San Francisco for some planned activities at Adobe. Although I can't go into specific details on the going's on there, it was great to speak with the mobile team, as well as some other community members who attended the events. Next month, I will be heading out to San Jose for another community based Adobe event. I hope to see many of you there as well! All in all, there are lots of exciting happenings within the world of Flash Mobile these days ... and the year is still young. :)

Events are lining up for this year ... Just confirmed that I will be at this year's Adobe Community 2008 summit. Details are not finalized, however those that are privvy (UGM's and ACE's) know approximately when, where, and what the event details are. I'll post more about it as it shapes up and I am allowed to discuss (on a very high level).

Just a short FYI, but I will be attending this year's CTIA Wireless 2008 conference, April 1-3 2008, out in Las Vegas. Looks to be over 1,200 exhibitors, and over 40,000 professionals from over 125 countries ... all talking about wireless! What is CTIA?"The convergence of more than 1,100 exhibiting companies, dozens of industries, and over 40,000 professionals from 125 countries all working toward the common goal of revolutionizing wireless. Whether in broadband convergence, enterprise, advertising, social networking or entertainment, CTIA WIRELESS 2008 is the global marketplace for connecting wireless and YOU." Anyways, if you are going and would like to meet up, drop me a note here. I'll probably be there pre-conference as well (for some meetings). Not sure if Adobe will be there. Didn't see them on exhibitor's list (yet).

I picked up a copy of the Mobile Python book written by Jurgen Scheible and Ville Tuulos recently. Both are experts on Python on S60. Although I had previously done some programming with the platform, I thought it might be interesting to read through their book from Wiley and see what it had to offer. It's part of the Symbian Series books that Wiley puts out. I'll probably post a review here on the blog, or on amazon.com once I am done with it. Looks to be less than 300 pages, consisting of some sample applications and narrative written around them (essentially what we normally call "cookbooks"). From what I read so far, it looks very cool! If you're interested in the book, here are the details: Mobile Python : "Rapid Prototyping of Applications on the Mobile Platform" Publisher: Wiley Page Count: 348 pages Language: English ISBN: 0470515058

This is very cool news, and I will be sharing a lot of my thoughts and expertise about Flash Lite; as well as other mobile technologies, products and services. A big thank you to Nokia for allowing me to participate in their community!
